area.
Northern Jordan
The two most important cities in Northern Jordan are Irbid and Zarqa.
Both cities have a high population ratio, a large number of outlets
and very low purchasing capacities. Both form the main market
for counterfeit operations and parallel imports. Southern Jordan
The most important cities in Southern Jordan are Tafileh, Karak and
Maan. These are characterized by a low population ratio and very limited
purchasing power. They have a marginal business importance. Aqaba
The newly established economic zone is still underdeveloped. But,
there are big expectations attached to its future, mainly due to the
tax and customs exemptions it offers.
